Every expensive mistake in your house is already on your plans
A builder walks your actual plans room by room on video and marks every fix while they are still free to make. Nothing is ever posted, clipped, or reused.
It is sitting there right now, in a line nobody questioned. The return that is not there. The outlet three feet from where the bed is actually going. The blocking that never got called out.
Nobody catches it, because the plan looks finished. It gets caught the day you walk your framed house and something feels wrong. By then it has a price on it.
Reading the tips is half of it. The other half is your paper.
You can read every list in the world. Ours included. But a list is general and your house is specific. Someone has to look at your drawings and spot where the architect missed it, where the recirc loop should tie in, where the blocking goes for the way you are actually going to live in this house.
That takes a trained eye on your specific plans, not a general list.
Why now, and not one day later
Right now, on paper, every fix is free. You change a line on a drawing and it is done.
The day they break ground, every one of those same fixes becomes a change order with a price tag. After drywall, most of them are a demo job.
This review exists to catch them while they are still free.

Check out with your name and email. That is all we need to start.
You get an email right after with exactly how to send your plans. A PDF, a Drive or Dropbox link, or clear photos of the printed set all work. Not sure what you have? Send it anyway and we will tell you.

No call to schedule. No meeting. You watch it when you want, as many times as you want, and you can forward it straight to your builder.
We build for a living. 84 custom homes as the builder of record, 418 doors once you count the townhomes, duplexes, and apartments, across 9 years licensed, as both builder and developer.
We are also the team behind the custom build tips watched over 50 million times in the last 90 days and saved more than 100,000 times, including the cheap valve hot water fix at 2 million views.
Same eye. Now on your plans instead of a Reel.
What it costs against what it catches
One correction or discovery now can prevent a change order that costs thousands. Catch a single one on paper and this pays for itself. Most sets turn up more than one.
On a $700,000 build, this is less than a tenth of one percent of what you are already spending, aimed at the one part nobody is checking.
Fully private. No content use, ever.
This is the private version of the review. The price is $597 and your review is never posted, clipped, or referenced anywhere, and neither are your plans. It exists for you and whoever you choose to share it with, and that is the end of it.
Fine with us using an anonymized version as content? Then take $100 off. That version is $497 and you can book it here.
If we go through your plans and do not find at least one thing worth more than what you paid, we will tell you that ourselves and refund you. No forms, no back and forth. That has not happened yet on a custom set. If yours is the first, you should keep your money.
We take 10 of these a month
This is one builder sitting down with your plans, not a call center. Ten a month is what we can do without rushing them. When the month fills, booking opens back up on the first.
My plans are not final yet. Am I too early?
No. Earlier is better. Before permit is the cheapest possible moment to change anything. Send what you have.
We already broke ground. Are we too late?
Not for most of it. Framing, plumbing, electrical, smart home, and HVAC calls are all still open until drywall goes up, and that window is where most of the value is anyway. If you are already past drywall, do not buy this.
What format do my plans need to be in?
A PDF is ideal. A Drive or Dropbox link works. Clear photos of the printed set work too. Send what you have and we will work with it.
Is my builder going to be annoyed?
The PDF is written so you sound informed, not accusatory. Most builders would rather field these questions on paper than tear out finished work later. The ones who get defensive about a question at rough-in are telling you something worth knowing.
Is this a sales call?
No. There is no call at all. You get a video and a PDF. That is the entire product.
Who sees my plans?
Only us. Nothing goes public with your name, your address, or anything that identifies you or the home.
Building something large or unusually complex?
Some plans need a deeper, one on one look. Email jon@builtwiththis.com before booking and we will point you to the right option.
