About Built With This
From a builder, not a blogger.
Built With This is run by a working custom home builder and developer. 84 homes built, and still building. Every tip, video and product here comes from the same place: what actually happens on a custom build, and the decisions that get missed before the walls close.
Most of the expensive mistakes in a new home are not about finishes. They are about what never got roughed in. The outlet that should have gone in the soffit. The blocking that was never added for the TV. The drain line nobody ran. Those cost a couple hundred dollars before drywall and thousands after. That window is what this whole brand is about.

How products get picked
Products here are things that make sense to plan for before drywall, from brands builders actually install. Prices come straight from the retailers and refresh throughout the day. Some links are affiliate links, which means a purchase can earn a commission at no extra cost to you. That never decides what makes the list.
